I read your guys quicktopic, good stuff!
Pretty funny how we were suspicious of Rythmic and boudica from the start and you of TheFlax and then me pretty early too.
However, we did get the upper hand easily, go Psi Corp!
What i want to know is how on earth did seireikhaan get me down as a mafia?

I was a simple captured marine (no power role) who was pro town
Out of interest was this whole prisnors vs captors a distraction or was that some kind of goal ??
Just curious because i was annoyed at players going for pro towners because they were a different race, Racism i say !!

Thoughts? My abilities were severely hampered by the location rule.Originally Posted by YLC

Teehee! I knew that the signs boudica did meant she was Mafia! I won't reveal what it was, however, since I may use it to discover she is Mafia in future games.
BLARGH!
RoleUnfortunately this game will not be opened again.

My Role:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
First of all - big thanks to YLC for organising this one, I really enjoyed the scenario, and although I understand that this was meant to be a much larger game, featuring many different nephilim abilities, I still think that with a touch more luck mafia would have stood a very slim chance. As it happened we failed to order a kill on the first night and from the write-ups of others got really unlucky by being investigated etc. - although as I apparently had already set off the Reenktuition alarm bells, I must hold my hands up to that too I guess. That said, there was alot going against mafia survival. I think the location rules make an interesting variation, but it would become very easy for town, or affiliated roles to identify the mafia through process of quarantine due to the fact that kills needed to be made in the same location. It might have gone to the wire, but the odds were stacked against mafia.
I think i mentioned in our private chat room that it would have been hard enough to win, due to the location rules - not to mention the pretty explicit write-ups - even if we HADN'T been being hunted by another mafia faction!
So I picked shlinn to be my 'bodyguard' on night 1 and got him to vote Chaotix the next day. He was killed night 2 defending me against Reenk's attack.
I then attempted to kill Reenk on the night he attacked Rythmic/Psychonaut], and all that happened was it forced a stand off, I then found out from YLC that the only way to affect the Operative was to use our powers on him. Finding out that Seireikhaan being the detective was great: We set about using CountArach's 'deceit' ability to fool him into thinking Ares was mafia and I was relying on appearing innocent to him when he investigated me. Unfortunately I appeared to be just as guilty due to lack of information as I would have done if I'd had a big red meatball painted on my spacesuit, so - already called out by Reenk - I was forced to make up a quick fake role and joined the 'reveal' party :) I didn't expect it to work, but consider the fact that it allowed my survival for one more day to be my main achievement in the game.
So using my Lust ability on Reenk - to make him vote Khaan and stop trying to kill me - was pretty high on the agenda! I wrote my thoughts about how that went on the private chatlog. TO be honest I was a little put out that Reenk went WAY out of character to explain his voting behaviour. I'm assuming he wasn't restricted by the Lust conditions that shlinn was given by YLC ie. instant WoGing if he revealed he was under Nephilim control - is that the case Reenk?
But by that point I was already living on borrowed time and it was no great suprise to be lynched. I'm guessing that if he played his cards right that CA might have managed to survive a little longer, but I predict that even without Operatives on his back, the location rule would have finished off our chances of a mafia win anyway.
There is plenty that I feel was flawed in this variant, but plenty that worked really well, and the writing was great, so I'd be happy to discuss it further with anyone who wants to...
Anyway, thanks again to YLC - this game, along with reading through ATPG's GOlden RUle, have inspired me to try my hand at hosting a small game - and I hope your connection problems clear up soon

Mortal men may live and die due to your charms Lust, but Reenkfaust only desires killing and deciet.
The stuff I got from YLC made it seem like I only was "agreeing" to work with you. Later I was told I must vote as you should, but nope, no WoG for the expose.
Man, I was so badass in this role, I didn't even know I shrugged off kill attempts (it seemed like a pathetic but pretty woman just begged me to stop killing the beastie).
Sad that YLC couldn't finish this game. He had spoken to me about it when he was building it. Had he given me all the role PMs and a sense of how to continue, I might have been able to finish hosting it for him. He asked me on several occasions to help him with his writing, and I did a little "editor" work for him (not much, though) I think I could have muddled through somehow. I skimmed the thread, and I do have to say the setup and the writeups were fantastic.
A round of drinks for our friend YLC, on me.

I had a crappy role...... when I have a good role I tend to play well.....when I have a bad role(townie)...I tend to go for death early.... In Family guy Mafia I had a role in which I could not be lynched or killed but could die by common methods(vigilante, investigation) In Neverwinter Mafia I was a lynch win role....... In Godfather 3 I was a grunt and you saw how far I made it... but in YLC's Mafias......I always get crap roles.....
Edit: I mean you had a kick- role on whispers in the night....who could claim to be a Pro-town/Mafia/Serial Killer role in one game

Deeply sorry for having to end this game so soon, but allow me an explanation as to some of the rules.
The mafia were not infact outnumbered, and the Operatives were more protown then they thought. Each Power Role (and any 2 town roles) had the possibility of becoming mafia through Lust's ability. If Lust snagged a townie, at the beginning of the second night, he would have become either Judas or Brutus, a Nephilim Minor that would act as a permenant bodyguard for Lust, with a 50% of surviving the attack, the ability of performing a mafia kill (so long as there was both Brutus and Judas), and the ability to cover for Lust incase she was to be lynched (possibly requiring 3 lynching to kill her *gasp*). Power Roles each had a Nephilim Major they would turn into upon the beginning of the third night under "Lustful" influence- Grigorii -> Dread, Seraphina -> Sorrow, Markus -> Gluttony, Dmitrii (You all know him as Tvormirov from the wrightups) -> Madness. Only Reimon Leclair was immune to conversion, and thus the only person ingame that the mafia HAD to kill.
However, Guntram Faust was the one person they did NOT want to kill. Upon the fourth night, Guntram Faust would have become "The Nephilim Chaos" - He would have gained unlimited night and day kills, could use anyone elses abilities, was immune to anyone elses abilities, and could not be lynched - in essence, the game would continue at his whim only, guarenteing a mafia victory.
This was the reason for the location dependant kill - there would be so many Nephilim popping up that it would be almost impossible to discern who was what, since the mafia could have a maximum of 4 kills per night (Brutus/Judas kill, Starting mafia kill, Wrath Ability, and Recruited mafia kill).
However, Reenk and TheFlax tore it apart by basically guessing right from the beginning who was mafia, thus limiting Lusts use.
You will notice that I included 4 investigators, and for good reason - to sow dissent, and create confusion. Most games only have 1-2 at max, so 4 people claiming investigator means you would end up only believing barely half of them, and more then likely lynching your own Power Roles
However, this is all theory, and on paper it looked good, but it seems the Psi Corp this game was imbued with Godlike powers over probability
Indeed, I kept this knowledge from you because it would have aversely affected your play - you needed to hide, and if you knew you could convert, you would have fished for roles.
Also, to clarify for Chaotix's ability - he could turn someone into the Machaena "Kratos", the only real competitor to the raw power of Guntram - he had no vote, but he could also not be killed, and essentially acted as a bodyguard for the Good Doctor, who could then become a vanilla doctor role. Kratos was immune to all non-protown abilities, meaning even Guntram, as Chaos, could not kill him. In essence, he was the final solution, the one way, even when the town had basically lost, to pull a tie out of nowhere - this is all provided that Doctor Tvormirov had not DIED (which would have happened this game, since the Psi Corp set everyone up ).
Great game YLC and thanks for hosting.
I honestly did not think that things were going very well for RR and myself, until everyone revealed at the end.
Throughout the game I was convinced that mafia could kill from any location without restriction and that only my partner (RR) was limited by locations. My early posts were thus aimed at sowing doubt about the certainty many had about the killings tied to locations. So while I got lucky in picking who I investigated, I was totally off in trying to find out who were the killers based on the killings.
Hopefully a uber Guntram would not have killed me.
Yes, but Uber Guntram could have also killed his own mafia partners Don't think your special .
I just hope this role does not go to Reenk's head >>.
