I guess you guy's really don't get barbarianball. There's a shot clock in hoops. When you're up 80 on another team, the normal decent thing to do would be to run the shot clock out each possession which would run the game out. No one's saying they were supposed to coddle the losers.

There is no shot clock in Texas high school BASKETBALL at any level.

Why? Because it's a game involving a ball, but it's not football*, so obviously it must be one of the inferior "sports" involving a ball, all of which can be lumped together and classed as barbarianball, since, well, they're quite irrelevant and quite frankly barbarian sports, nothing like the esteemed and beautiful game of football... In the words of Bill Shankly:

*I am, of course, referring to the european kind, the one where using your hands is against the rules, hence the name "football, not "foot and hands-ball".

People keep bringing this up, but "learning disability" doesn't mean that they're slow. The schools webpage mentions ADD, dyslexia and dysgraphia. Whoever wrote the news article was just playing that angle becaus of their personal bias or to make it more interesting.
