Well we had that special olympics come to Ireland a few years ago , and the moral with it is that everones a winner ...but the bookmakers don't accept that view .Don't they have the moral that there's more important things than winning in Europe?

"A man who doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real man."
Don Vito Corleone: The Godfather, Part 1.
"Then wait for them and swear to God in heaven that if they spew that bull to you or your family again you will cave there heads in with a sledgehammer"

Too bad. They shouldn't even be in the same league. What's the coach supposed to do? Tell his team not to shoot the ball? They were actually easy on them on the second half. After the first half they were up over 50 points.

Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.

Being neither His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI nor the Reverend Rick Warren, I don't know if I'm qualified to speak for Christianity as a whole. But as a Christian who has spent no small amount of time reading the words of Jesus, I believe I can speak to my own views.
I don't see anything inherently unChristian about competition, in sports or in business. There is a difference however between being competitive and being exploitive. If you view business and sports as inherently exploitive, I suppose I understand your view, but what a limited view of human interaction you appear to have.
Mercy and compassion are not weaknesses, so long as they are moderated by logic and justice.

Would it be wrong for one team to run up the score in gym class? Because if these kids are taking women's high school basketball too much more seriously than that you'd have the real problem right there.
