in remote future a candidate for EB III , but that's still obscure

Many thanks to Hooahguy for this great sig.
Won't it though be like rtw though with bad attack, diplomacy, how much land a city owns, ect.

As a matter of fact, it will be different in many aspects, including the agents system iirc. The countryside around cities will play a more important role in battle strategies (cutting off supplies etc.). Anyway, this is not really an EB topic...Won't it though be like rtw though with bad attack, diplomacy, how much land a city owns, ect.

Well I hope that the game is better than rtw in it's map and so on.

What do you mean, bad map? ETW will be considerably different from Rome and Medieval though.

ya ETW will have a lot of the good stuff
Diplomacy + war will be improve dramatically
the designers have found their problem as diplomacy and faction moves used to be made by 2 DIFFERENT scripters who more often than not, conflicted with each other. Right now one scripter makes both so they dont contraddict each other but actually the behavoir mirrors the diplomacy.
very unique indeed

Antinous, I'm suprised you didn't see the ETW subforum on the org.
There'll be around 50 factions and no region limit. Very good for modders; great for a classical Greece mod, among many, many others. For my part, I am very much looking forward to ETW. In fact, I'm almost pissing myself in anticipation.
I am afraid EB 2 and ETW mods will consume my life.
What is this doing in this forum?

Because someone asked this question here instead of googling "Empire Total War" and getting all the answers.
I'm looking forward to Empire: Total War so much i actually have to change my pants when i hear/see/think about it.
...Brb, going to change pants.
What does everyone think about the naval battles? In the distant future, the EB team could create ships. But does the engine look like it could allow for things like trireis and pentakonteroi ramming each other like in real life?

I'm going to be pissed if you can't ram an enemy ship. You can grapple along side and board though.
Fighting isn't about winning, it's about depriving your enemy of all options except to lose.

They ask these questions here because EB is the forum, not only "a" forum. People talk about everything here, and would sell fruits here if it wasn't illegal and or unpractical.
But given the scope of ETW I will be eager that the EB team, in a distant future, is able to use the ETW engine to its full capacity and possibilities. It will make EB I look like Civilization II in comparison.

Not looking forward to ETW, mainly cause of my processor being older then Zeus, plus its the wrong time frame.
Basileos, I'm not trying to be a killjoy, but fer chrissakes the guy wasn't opening a topic on 'What ETW might imply for future iterations of EB', but asking a question that a 5 second google search could have answered. Is this forum the place to ask any question at all, no matter how unrelated to EB?
