Anachronisms ?

I agree - up to a point. As I posted in another thread, I hope that the StratAI is smart enough to tech up and limit pikemen. How depressing it would be to deploy your tech'ed out "new model army" and come up againt what essentially is a pikeman army?

Happens to me in MTW 2 all the time. I put out my army of pikemen, musketeers, with a bit of cavalry and run into hordes of peasants and spear militia. Pike/musket armies destroy heavy cavalry and heavy infantry based armies, but when you are facing down huge hordes of militia spearmen that rush you, its just not as fun, and you end up losing more men.
