Heh, sounds like fun. Assassination by ninja is very viable if you have enough koku and patience. My strategy is to pump out as many as humanly possible (preferably at least +1 honor), to the point where I'll be making 4 or 5 attempts against an heir in a single turn. Heirs first and then daimyo of course.
