My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.
I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.
France shares two letters with Texas. Holland shares one. UK shares none (Though United Kingdom does indeed share 1).

France because of Louis, Holland because of all the .Org's wonderful Dutchmen. UK is third by process of elimination.

Napoleon kicked everyone's ass.
Holland helped Napoleon kick everyone's ass.
The UK got lucky?

Gonna take a shot here:
France militarily came to Texas' aid against Mexico during Texas' bid for independence.
Holland came close to giving financial support, but ultimately decided against it due to uncertainty about Texas' future, ability to repay, and the potential of losing trade with Mexico.
The UK wished to obtain a foothold in Texas for their own interests.

France fought against the colonial English troops, Holland was the first to recognize America's independence, and the UK and America are good buddies nowadays. How it relates to Texas I dunno doesn't everything in the end relate to Texas??
Well, if you take just the capital letters it sounds like a certain word and texans swear a lot I guess...and can't spell well?

Ja mata, TosaInu
That's easy! France because they helped liberate the USA, who in turn helped the mighty Texan people crush the puny Mexicans!
Holland because they have red light districts (Which appeared in the 19th Century), which are thoroughly appreciated by the Texans.
UK because without the UK, you'd be all speaking Spanish!
BLARGH!
IIRC France and the USA were nominal allies in Napoleon's time. Later on France came close to recognising the Confederate States but never did.
Holland - because of the Dutch immigration to Texas? http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nederland_(Texas)
The UK - no idea.
