After playing this with a few friends previously I finally got myself a copy

I've been playing on and off for about 5 hours total today, but unfortunately all of my games have gone horribly awry. The latest game for example ended when the infested team (which hosted the server apparently) decided that since we weren't playing as they wanted they should send endless hordes against us. It seems that somehow I am a magnet for all the bad pubbies

Feel free to add me and perhaps I'll get to experience playing this game with people who not only know what they're doing but are also looking to both win and have fun, I'm "Snow_083".

I've been trying to play on expert, but I can seem to do it. For instance, a few seconds ago, I was playing Death Toll on expert and our team couldn't even get to the first safe house with two tries. Then we set it to advanced and we all made it through the entire campaign with out any incidents at all, really. It seems I can beat all of the campaigns on advanced with out any trouble (well, it is still a little bit challenging, but not really), but I can't play on expert at all. What do I need to keep in mind when playing expert versus playing advanced?

In expert everyone needs to work together even more so than advanced. Think of it like Noah's Ark, two by two. NO ONE goes off by themselves, If someone is shooting one way then you have to cover them from an opposite direction. Even one infected can ruin your day so you really need to keep people from getting jumped from behind.

Friendly fire NEEDS to be controlled on Expert. If you shoot someone in the head they will go down, no exceptions. Don't try to peal zombies off of people with a shotgun, and if you do make sure you know how. Melee spam is your friend.

Yeah on expert meele rules over firing because of FF. I have only played the River evac campaign with 3 friends of mine and we were doing real smooth with only a couple of wipes.

We were all close together - perhaps too close together? Now that I that I think about it, friendly fire might have been our big issue.

On Expert, a witch will one-shot kill you (not incap, kill), so unless you can crown her you really have to be careful.

on expert each zombie does 10 points per hit. hordes are the biggest concern, more than hunters or smokers. the special infected does come 3-4 at a time, but they are uncoordinated and predictable. tanks have the same life as on advanced.

as already said, FF is a huge deal. even a close FF shot with the pistol, yes the pistol, will drop someone. i would also recommend at least one sniper rifle on expert. and don't use your medpacs until you are black and white, because when u respawn you get 50 health straight up, better to let people die than get the whole team killed in some situations.

you still get the achievement if you die, as long as its not on the finale and prevents you from escaping

Just had an awesome game as tank. My first, and later, perhaps best ever time as tank was tonight.

On the second to last No Mercy level, at the top of the elevator, I was chosen to become the tank.

The survivors stayed in the elevator. I remembered what a beating Veho had laid down on my team once when he through a generator thing into the elevator. So I did as well. But it became stuck in the doorway. I went up, hitting it again and again, but it didn't budge and my health went lower and lower.

Finally it flew into the elevator and I followed, flailing around at everyone I could. Somehow I managed to get all the survivors down with help from my teammates. Just as I finally died, they were all incapp'd. It was a massacre.

Now I have to get to bed.
