    Default DISSIDIA Final Fantasy

Don't know if there's already a thread about it.
I've been tracking this game, even if I don't own a PSP.

    From FFWiki:
Dissidia Final Fantasy is a video game developed by Square Enix for the PlayStation Portable as part of the campaign of the Final Fantasy series 20th anniversary. Dissidia's genre has been described as "dramatic progressive action" featuring a 3-D graphical environment with the ability to level up characters like in RPGs. The game reunites characters from other installments of the Final Fantasy series. Chaos makes an appearance as the god of discord, while a new character, Cosmos, appears as the goddess of harmony. Long-time series collaborator and character designer Tetsuya Nomura was in charge of the characters' design, although many of the characters, even those originally designed by Nomura himself, seem to be designed to fit their appearance as drawn by Yoshitaka Amano.

The story follows the conflict between Chaos and Cosmos and their allies, drawn from the main series games of Final Fantasy. Chaos summons the villains of the games in order to take control over the Crystals and, in response, Cosmos summons the heroes return the balance of between discord and harmony. Backstory for the various characters are also given in "Reports", which are divided into Cosmos Reports and Chaos Reports.
Game isn't released out of Japan, yet. (Q2 2009 in US)

Wow, according to Wiki, the game allows dynamic fights such as the ones seens in FF7:AC. That would make it the most ass kicking fighting game ever.

Not only that, but the FF serie produced some of the most bad ass characters ever (Kefka, Sephiroth, Kuja, I'm looking at you). Sounds like fun. Hopefully it will be released in Europe.

    Default Final Fantasy: Dissidia

Long have I dreamt of this game, and on how it would have been made. The worlds of every Final Fantasy game have been merged together in one huge chaos. Now the heroes and villains of every serie must now not only face each other once again, but must also face the others so peace may return.

The intro of the game. In is there is a Squall vs Sephirot. Simply awesome.

Man, watching from the videos I can see how awesome the game is. Pity I will never have a PSP or other console related material, I soooo wished to play this game.

Well, if the game offers some replayability and isn't too boring, then I might consider getting a PSP just for it.

Afterall, I bought my PS1 only to play FF7 back then ;)
