Playing Hojo vs. Mongols

I have a quick question. I'm playing Mongol invasion for the first time. I'm Playing Hojo.
I'm about 10 turns into the game. The Mongols have invaded the eastern part of the map.
Will they pop up anywhere on the map or do they contain themselves to the east? I just wanted to know if I should start building ports all over and keep garrisons in the central and west. I have my troops massed in the Mori and Shimatzu areas

They start off on the eastern island (Kyushu) and gradually move up the coast through the Mori lands. Always good to watch your back, but you should be able to wipe them out on Kyushu pretty quick.
