Anyone try this city builder game? I am downloading the Demo. Figured I would try it. They have a new version coming out in early March.

it looked a lot like Glory of the Roman Empire (also a city builder game), and I decided against buying it because I already have the latter and am short of funds.

Its a cheap imitation of Caesar. Not bad, but not that good either IMO. Got tired of it eventually after a few games.

Nothing beats Pharoah. NOTHING. And if you think something does, you are wrong.
Fighting isn't about winning, it's about depriving your enemy of all options except to lose.

Pharoah was gay. I never got past, like, the 5th level.

Any of you ever played Zeus? That was like my second or third PC game.

Good old times eh. I got Zeus and Poseidon (the expansion). Good games they were. I personally liked to play as the guys from Atlantis, or as the greeks when you had to defend greece from the evil Atlantis and consequently from a lot of angry gods.

Pharaoh wasnt bad either, but dude, building all these crap pyramids, mastabas and what not took a lot of resources and time. I almost finished Cleopatra, but got tired to have to wait so much time to build these godlike structures.

Strongly Agree. Except for the level I've left off from; one of the first missions where you're allowed to build a Temple Complex and I've met or exceeded all victory conditions bar population. I'm maybe at 3k/4k, but that final thousand population is a long, slow climb (much as I'd like to just spam crappy housing blocks and be on to the next level, I'm already suffering the occasional "slums discourage immigration" message and it's impractical to create more industries than I already have (to quell unemployment, if you haven't played) due to space constraints not mitigated by stupid trade ship AI and HERPADERP Overseer of Trade.

...never mind though, at least there's EB!
