After all, if you may win a 1 to 1 ratio in auto calc on medium, it's a logical step that you would lose a 1 to 1 ratio on Hard, it's just the way the game thinks. Hard is harder then medium so it shouldn't be a instant win.

I found medium in MTW2 was fair, not instant win, but fair. You almost always win against rebels (I guess cause it's assumed your armies are more organized), you most likely win if you have a general and the enemy does not, and 1 to 1 is more random. You may win, you may draw, you may lose alot more then in the past.

I plan to play on Medium so it won't be a problem for me but for those of you who like Hard and Very Hard, you may have to wait for a mod to tone it down a bit.
I tend to play the game on medium as well, and I will probably play Empire on that setting. But then again I tend to fight every battle (I have a lot of free time ) so I have never really noticed the Auto Calc problems in any significant way.

Although I do tend to Auto Calc better results against castles than I could manage in real life.
