traits files are not inside ancillary files they are separate. I have modded just ancillaries so you can ask a trait modder for its triggers, my humble opinion if you keep any of your general outside of his satrapy he may get this trait.
electability is a matter of discussion but I do not think that it effects trait because it is designed for ancillaries, basically it gives a numerical order, though I have experienced AI does not follow the order you have put. I could not see much difference when I omit them, also I tried everything, I can assure that RTW or any expansion exe is not so generous upon giving ancillaries or ı have added too much ancillary that makes it harder for AI to give all. (around 250 - 300)

So, to stop the "Not in his Satrapy" problem, I should edit
the EDCT around the Satrapal triggers section?
Seems sensible.
About electability, I know next to nothing about
it, so I won't bother with debating about it.
When a general with a legate command dies, will that legate command be recycled and be offered to another general at a later time?

Yes, a new general who has less than 8 ancillaries and in the certain city can get the ancillary again. If he dies, do not worry just keep one in the city you get the ancillary.
also as you may know you can switch ancillaries between your generals. I mostly give the office to another general after the holder passes 55-60 years.

this mod is my unique mod that is even compatible with city mod after I changed my triggers in the last versions and of course with any RTW exe because all versions had ancillaries and there was no other modder who modded ancillaries except me for EB.

Hi There!
Some Guys mentioned it earlier in this thread, the offices of Hayasdan could use a litte expansion.
So I tried a little modding on my own and this is my result:
I orientate on konny's great aar about Hayasdan. so its a little bit more "medieval armenia" than "persian armenia".
So i changed the "Satrap"-titles in "Bdeshkh of...". So that the provinces Kartli,Egrisi,aghvan,adurbadegan,adiabene and media are ruled by an "viceroy".
Than i added the title "Sparapet" (commander in chief), Hazarapet (minister of the Interior, public works and finance) and Malkhaz (is responsible for the protection and safety of the King).
I also tried to give a litte bit background to some provinces.
There should be no bugs, cuz i only copied and changed Atraphoenix well-arranged satapral system and trigger system.
I would declare this light edited version as "beta" cuz i couldn't do much testing, though.
I hope you like it so far and let me know if you have some suggestions.

New Quotes for 1.2I uninstalled your Extended Offices mode and it didn't CTD, but apart from that, it didn't work (or at least i didn't see it working)Now, when I infiltrate a city and the Spy opens the gates, and I assault it, It CTDs before the loadscreen and keeps playing the music until it stops.
I can't play 2 battles in the same turn or it CTDs
I have no idea why it CTD, maybe i'll do some other tests

I have made some checks and I have changed some cities that use not internal names
like "Kart-Hadast" now "Kart_Hadast"
and many others without accents like "é"s.
I have replaced my installation files of triggers namely export_descr_ancillaries
and now if the problem because of my triggers there won't be any problem.
on the other hand ancillary triggers that I modded are triggered when you press end turn battle.
If you have CTD, during normal turn, namely you attack a town and capture it in your turn, not AI attacks you and you play it during AI Turn, this CTD is beyond my mod but if you have CTD during AI turn my mod may cause it.
At the moment I am testing my mod again and will report here whether my mod stable or not.

I have omitted many faction especially for celts because I have no info on their goverment offices but you can add them yourself by copying the the triggers of other factions with english names like "Governor of Gergovia" but if somebody can give me their possessional form I can add them like "-i" or "é" in persian.
P.S. I have no objection if somebody uses my mods for EB, the only problem I had is that some of my mods was based upon other mods like RS so not for a new mod.

Let me start with saying I really REALLY like the idea of you mod.
I downloaded it, and I have started playing.
My only concern is that I did something wrong with the files, so I had a question.
Is there an easy way to check I did everything as it should be without actually capturing 50 settlements ?
maybe a console cheat which gives a certain ancilliary ?

It seems I did everything as it should be.
Now for another question, why do the ancilliares trigger when you reach 50 settlements ?
It seems a bit much, but I could be wrong or missing some historic reason behind all this.
I roleplay when Marius was consul and if you reflect his reforms 90 settlements are too much. I have decreased EBBS script to 50 cities so both my marian reformed legions and their commanders are available.
Also later I have adapted RS legions as stated in my sig, so now I have named legions as well.
If you check this map, though may not be so accurate, 90 cities are reaaally too much if you apply it to EB map.

hi man, awesome add-on to the game, but what I felt is that there's some incomplete work here and there (specially romans) so i began to expand your work, adding new roman provinces to the game, but, what I've encountered is that I'm getting a non-message CTD, so I think I could ask your help, after all you better than anyone knows how your system works, so this is what I've done, what is basically copy-paste your triggers,ancillaries and so on and changing the name for the specific province, getting this:

Also, if correct me if I'm wrong, electability works only as a marker for the specific ancillary? having two electability numbers affects in some way the adquistion of the ancillaries? for example, you gave the governor_of_cyrenacia ancillary a electability of 26, so if I give my recently created "governor_of_illyricum" ancillary the same number, does this causes conflicts to the game?

You had a good job on it, simply electability makes the game engine assign the FMs the stated ancillaries in order. You may omit them, I have followed the EB goverment system so I left it.
We have a good trait and ancillary verificator in tools sections that can be used both for Rome and Medieval2 that helped me greatly reducing script and missing errors.
So search for "ATVTW - Trait/Ancillary Validator of Sqυid"
Also I am sure that you are not using windows notepad.

I have been just re-reading some old threads including this one and noticed a discussion we have had many years ago (on page 1 and 2 here) about how it "might be nice to intoduce a script, giving the faction, say, 500 mnai if the HAMÂRAKARA/DIOIKETES is both unselfish and loyal, whereby if he is selfish and disloyal those money would be taken away (as he is keeping the amenities of his position for himself - that would force the player to choose his top officers carefully)". Now it occurred to me a rather simple solution to this so that I am wondering how we did not tried that earlier. Just as province ancillaries in vanilla EB are tied with provincial governor trait, it should be possible to design corresponding traits to other ancillaries like Dioiketes and only after that let the EBBS check for the traits and give or take away the money...
I do think that you will be making another version of your Extended Offices Mod for EB 1.2, but noticing from your signature that you have been promoted to official EB Team ancillary-designer, you might find it helpful in your current endeavors towards EB II. Or not...
This mod can be enlarged a lot in many ways, personally at the moment I mostly read for resources for Pahlavs. I lack power on script so if you can combine this with other mod file you are free to do what you want. Yes, I have new offices but I am unsure to put them here, they are currently reserved for EB2.
