My 2 sons pleaded for tat's from about 13 years old. I refused, insisting they wait 'til age 18, although we did discuss what might look good, what the image might mean, the history & significance of tattoo's, et cetera. I just didn't want them making a frivolous decision with such permanent consequences

Son #1, at age 18 + 1 day, spent $300 of his own money to have a design of his own making tattoo'd on his back.



His original plan was to color-in that design, but after a couple hours of pain "in the chair" decided the outline was enough.

Son #2 decided to wait.

No markings on me. I'm not anti-tattoo - just never found anything I wanted permanently on me.
