I haven't received a Valentine since age 7, when Margaret Conway gave me one, and cried that I hadn't given her one (nobody had 'splained Val Day to me).
I have learned that the women I've been "with" (married, or girlfriend) expected something on Valentine's Day. A card, at minimum. I've forgotten a few times, and they've gotten a little pouty for a day or two - so I've learned to pay more attention.
Ms. K gets a nice card with her morning coffee, and a pajama-gram later, if the Post Office comes through.
