Well, demo arguments aside, who can the forum muster to go? I'm sure we have plenty of Englishmen on here, we have nothing to lose in trying to register and hope someone on here gets selected and hopefully lives near by.

Well since he works for CA I was thinking that Jack Lusted could do a review for us. But then again, he works for CA so he may not be as critical as some.

Somehow I don't think Jack Lusted wants to do our review, espically because the only thing he'd probably here would be,

"That's great, but you still owe us a demo, about two weeks ago" :P

    It could be me !!

I've sent off an email to say that I am able go to the open day ( anytime.. anywhere.. in the UK !), but as I've not posted much in the past I doubt I'll get picked, but then again I am a very experienced with 25 years of computer wargaming under my belt !!

Prehaps we can start to put together a list of questions, tasks and objectives for whoever ends up going? Do we need to start a new thread for this?

    Such as -

when will the DEMO come out...!

How fast does the combat part play, ie. Average battle length in minutes, how long it would take a unit to travel across the whole battlefield ( important for setting up formations)

How long does a big sea battle take to play?

Do units fighting abilities work as in M2TW? (armour/gun upgrades, experience chevrons...bronze, silver, gold....)

When will the demo come out?

How 'modable' is the game ?

Expansion packs? ( or when will the Napoleonic expansion be released ??!!)

When will the DEMO come out ?

Victory objectives ? ( and are they same for each country ? )

    PICK ME CA !!!

I fulfill all of the criteria except being able to get to Horsham on the 25th . Why did it have to be so far away?

I don't think we have to worry about getting the demo. This Open Day will be palying the full gane, including the campaign. The demo will just be a coupl of battles, so they will probably still release it.

If there is no demo by that date then you can just forget having one until after the game is out. It is only a week prior to release.

They will need, I would guess, a week and a half to get disks to shops before release. If they are still making changes now it will be hard to get the manual printed or updated in that time. Of course it could make changes even at activation but that would mean they are still in a state of chaos even now…

The demo is made less code changes to the one seen on Steam…what gives?
