I would not worry about it. I mean if you look at videos there are clearly more then one battle. You can see the player controlling a variety of units, armies, and cities in the 4/5 Video RTI.

How long is it? I don't know but I think realistically it is a heavily scripted campaign where you cover 1700-1766, and simply cannot expand outside of north america.

I don't think it's going to be, battle 1, win, PART 2 loading screen. At least that's not the way I envision it.

Maybe it will be included in demo, or at least part 1, that way we can all learn together

It must start in 1774 with only Mass. If the others don’t join then I would think you are doomed. I see no way to capture the others without a much stronger army if they are garrisoned at all.

By Apr 1775 all 13 colonies had Rebel Militias and the Continental Army moved on Canada.

I don’t know how this is going to play out but it is something I am very eager to see.
I just don’t want to see a campaign where the Americans have to be on the offensive. It was their defensive and partisan warfare that won in the end. I just don’t see a credible attack possible by the Americans with only Mass as a base for the country.

I don't think it starts in 1774, as that would be a total of 8 turns.

If you read the excerpt put up on gamespot

"The Road to Independence sees you taking charge of the foundation of Jamestown as the British, all the way through to acting as Washington and removing the evil tyranny of Britain from the United States. It's a mission-based campaign set within a strong narrative structure that gives a brand-new experience to our established players and new initiates alike."
So you start in 1700, since james town was founded back in 1607. So you start as the British and slowly you become the Colonists.

I was only talking about the 3rd Chapter and the War of Independence.

Open war didn’t start until 1775 but by that time there was a Continental Government and Washington appointed as CinC.

I only see one Blue province on the map and I am just a bit hopeful in saying 1774.

Unless every Colony spawns and army to take the capital I just think the Revelation is in a bit of a bind…

And the first chapter does start in 1607.
