Any thoughts on the fact that unit stats can be altered and the game will still run? I haven't seen anyway it can be determined afterwards that this happened. So as it stands, do we all bump up our stats to ensure no cheating, or trust that noone else will. Because now there is no way that I know of to "trust, but verify."

Uploading to Gamereplays, which we will be using as part of our scoring process, screens for errors and verifies the replay is valid.

Not sure exactly what all is checked, but am on the path to find out

Sorry Tomi but the replays don't discover the cheats. It's been notably used by some groups on a regular basis as they see it as "taking advantage of all options" as opposed to what it is; cheating. The Polish chat forums have more info available (if you can read Polish, which I can't). The Poles aren't doing any tourneys right now because of the bug. I'd be glad to have one of my clanmates explain it to you if you would like.

For example; with a slight boost to your cav stats you will beat the enemy every time, but you can't prove it, because it's close. Also, your artillery will be more accurate, but you can say it was a "lucky shot." I'm afraid this is a serious problem with starting the tourney.

The processing of uploaded replay code, and the examination of the replays by Gamereplays experts, may be helpful.

And the reporting of suspicions, requests for logfiles, and comparison testing by CWC Admin, could very well catch other attempts.

Until the program is fixed, and it will be just like all of the others were, we will just have to be very vigilant.

But we are not going to stop our competition because there are some cheaters in the woods.

This a 4v4 Clan vs. Clan competition, requiring a minimum of 6 members (2 backups) to be able to partisapate

This Springs Competition will soon be coming to an end.

The Naval Battle Contest is already completed with IMPERIAL taking top honors as our first Naval Champion.

The Land Battle Finals are still underway with Warriors of Crom, Clan LONG, and IMPERIAL fighting it out in a three-way point scored finish.

What’s next?

We are currently in the process of assembling the largest Clan vs. Clan Competition ever, complete with a Regional Preliminary Competition for Clans of all languages and territories. These will compete for their Regional Titles, and then the winners will move on the Grand Finally of our first CWC Empire Total War WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP playoff event.
