Playing with the TWC

Well, everyone could post the rules for new mafia games... like the one I was going to host, but won't thanks to university... can post the whole idea if you want to.

EDIT:

I had a read at the game that Captain Blackadder suggested. The concept of the game was that players will be divided in 2 cities. Then the city who got rid of the mafia first was the winner. They had the option of either lynching or exiling the player from their city.

This game will be good if we are going for friendly game, but would be hard to make it for competition

There is however some peep on the TWC with my user name. I thought I had an account, but obviously not.

But if we can play the game on our respective boards it wouldn't be a problem.
I think however that there should be a common host for both games and that the phases is synchronized with absolute deadlines for voting and night orders.

I've contacted Don Jubal_Barca of TWC about the ideas so far and I'm awaiting response.

If I get a go sign from him as well, we can start organizing it.

Here is my idea:
There should be a town, which debates between joining COMECOM of the CCCP or the Marshall Pact of the US.

Every member gets a number, which varies to +3 to -3, +3 being Ultimate Capitalist follower and -3 Ultimate Marxist follower. Those who get +3, +2, +1 are capitalists, and will try to get the other band lynched. The same thing goes to the Communist side.

There will be two journalists, one per band. Those journalist would wrote a write up on how the other is ruining the town, ruining liberty and slaving you to the capitalist system, etcetera. What players won't know that those journalists will write everything that happened, except some posts that they send to delete (for the convenience of the band they are in). In this way, there will be people who get the number 0, they are undecided. They will join one or the other band, but it will take some turns to join one or the other team.

If there is a communist that joins capitalism (need to work that, 2:30 am here), the Ultimate marxist follower will kill that person. Any mention of that person amongst comrades will mean traition, so, that person will literally disapear from the list of alive players (shame on me creating nonpersons in this game). Same thing will happen if a capitalist joins the communist side.

There will be a CIA agent, detective, and a KGB detective also. They won't get guilty / not guilty results, but they will get commie/capitalist results instead.

The undecided will remain undecided until they change the situation. If they join one or other band, they will have one objective: cause kaos, killing the suporters of the enemy side. Lynching and group killing.

Loses the side that gets all the suporters killed or lynched.

That was my idea. I would like to host it, but don't have all the time.

Good idea for the game. I think TWC and Org players should start on different ends to make this work.
I can't see how conversion from Communist to Capitalist and vice versa is going to work but thats about the only problem I can spot. If you can think of something to cover that, maybe...

Seeing as we have much more players on the Org compared to TWC, I think its better to post pone our once in a year matches.. We got Capo coming up anyway

Right now I think its best to follow Pannonians suggestion by joining up a few TWC games to help them get more players, train their (and our) skills a bit before our matches take place. That should reduce our waiting time for our large games.

I will be doing most of mafia playing on the Org as I find Org skin much more comfortable to lurk in compared to any of the TWC skins I tried.. And I would like to keep upping most posting counts here
