I couldn't get them all to fire. I think there is a limit somewhere to the number of grenades that can be thrown. But there was a lot of grenades thrown. Probably about 200-300 nades falling on those poor guys. I had my men stand right next to the enemy in a hous and in an open field and they all wouldn't fire. Maybe I need to increase the range I don't know. Anyways I found cannon balls to kill more of my men then grape shot when up close.
Just another cool image.
This shows no unit cap big or small.
I did some more testing and the game would not load with more then 9000 soldiers in one unit.
I also played as the Americans but it was a real buggy battle.
First off I could not select any of my units except for Ctrl+A. Second most of the British army did not "spawn" at the same location they normally do. They were much closer.
I let the British attack me and they crossed the river with 2 units of infantry first to do some skirmishing. Then the sent all of their cavalry and one tried to go for my cannons but got routed. Then the sent every soldier across the river except for a few men. I killed them all pretty easily but the 5 units that "spawned" at their normal spots didn't move even after shooting them. I figured I would send all my my across to engage in melee. Well they held off and killed/routed all my units except for my artillery. I brought up my cannons to finish them off.
Some of the unit cards were blank so it obviously wasn't meant to be played. Plus I couldn't select the units other then all of them by Ctrl+A.
Oh and my avatar is a raccoon because my nickname is cooner.

With the range of grenades, I doubt the last rank could even hit the enemy.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
- Proud Horseman of the Presence
You could feasibly use them as bait while the cannons behind destroy batteries.

Yeah, I tried to fix it but just made the problem worse by having my game crash so I figured guessing coordinates wasn't going to help. The best I could do was giving some of their units the spawn locations of the English units in the tutorial, but everyone else is still all over the place.
I liked that three man unit, it means we can make the generals unit literally just the general instead of him and the whole guard.
