Letters from Brandywine. An ETW collab AAR

Monk fought the battle as the British, and I filled in the AAR for the AI-controlled Americans. Here are screenshots of the battle:

For clarification, once the multiplayer campaign option is enabled by CA, Monk and I will be be playing a full-length competitive campaign against one another, complete with battles. We will post regular AARs (with screenshots, and maybe videos) of the game with 'in-character' commentary (like above) along with supplemental 'out-of-character' commentary on the game situation and our moves. We expect a game like this to take a long time to play, so it should provide for a good deal of entertainment for anyone who cares to read it. It will be hosted in the usual spot for AARs and creative writing: the Mead Hall.

I like the story and the idea. The graphics look awful. What graphics setting was this battle played on?

That looks like the lowest settings to me. The game looks fantastic on the higer settings

IIRC, Monk had problems with extremelly long load times for the demo, so he turned the setting way down just to get it to run. I'm sure the final release will be optimized better. In any case, I have a pretty beefy machine and will hopefully be able to supply plenty of high quality screenshots when the 'Main Event' gets started. Hopefully battle recordings will be allowed as well, as they might be fun to watch in combination with the campaign AAR.

Yeah, i had most the eye-candy turned way down in this battle due to wanting to test load times some more. Really annoying

Glad you guys liked the idea, can't wait for the main event to get here.

Great idea for an AAR!

A novel approach looking forward to it!

Finally getting the opportunity to try the demo and would like to try another AAR with a twist when the game is officially released.

I guess I forgot to mention this earlier, but fantastic work guys!

Not only is this a new and fun way of presenting an AAR it is also a good way of getting Org members to work together on a project. Which is great for the community. Hopefully we will see similar AAR's done, maybe even some Hotseat ones so we can have more than two factions.
