Just curious how many TW Vets are planning on playing the RTI tutorial. As a vet of all TW games cept shogun, i normally dont worry bout playing the tutorials, but with so much new stuff on the campaign map, im considering actually playing this one just to get used to everything!!!! id say ill read the manual while i install :) but yea just wondering how many people are planning on giving the RTI tutorial/introductory campaign a go :D

    Cheers Knoddy

Edit: It sounds like a chance to go (a bit) out of the time period of the campaign map.

    What.

Anyways, I usually play the tutorials. They are pretty interesting, I remember RTW had a more detailed map of Italy, and M2TW had the Norman invasion. Cool stuff, really

Cool store, bro! I want some ham.
    No ham, pepsi.
They make deli slices of frozen pepsi now? Awesome!
You also need to purchase a small freezer for storage of your pepsi.
It runs on batteries. You'll need a few.
Uhh, I guess I won't have pepsi then. Do you have change for a twenty?

The tutorials I am geared for.

I liked the land and sea battle tutorials in the demo, but I regretted that when they were over they were just done. I always like after a battle to return to the campaign map and see the context of the win/loss/aftermath etc.

RTI should be a blast, I've been playing since shogun and will def try RTI :)

    Thumbs up Re: Tutorial

Wow, you've been playing since Shogun? You must be quite a scarred, grizzled veteran, Polemists.

Anyways, yes, the honoured Megas Methuselah will seek out the Road to Independance tutorial. He will, in all his wisdom and majesty, seek to gain further knowledge through such an interesting and vibrant tutorial. The example set by his majesty should serve to inspire lesser beings into brave endeavours through their own Road to Independance tutorial campaigns.

It will be cool to negotiate with all the tribes and try to maintain peace with them untill such time when the game decides its time to expand. It will bring a unique experience to the game, where most of the time you'll be facing off musket to musket, at least early in the RtI you'll be more concerned with getting an arrow to your back or a tomahawk to the body.

Yes as previously mentioned I was there when the Shogun DEMO came out, so I'm a veteran of wanting demos :P

Despite the fact the tutorial sounds good I am unsure if I will continue the grand campaign as the 13 colonies

I will probably finish the RTI, play I dunno 3 maybe 5 turns as 13 colonies, save, then start a second grand campaign as Austria and flip between the two.

Of course I will play the RTI. I will likely play it first as a good way to get to know the game. That is one reason it is there.

Once the Grand Campaign starts I may do what Polemists plans to do. I know I will be eager to try out all the other factions by then.

I thought the claim was that RTI, even in the earlier chapters, would be more than a tutorial. In any case judging from the ETW demo it will be good to get familiar with the new system through this. Even though I know this is a very different time period and style of war to previous TW games, since it still feels like a TW game when I played the demo battle I think I played it like I've always done, and it doesn't work so well! If anything TW vets will have a harder time 'unlearning' bad habits that new players with have learning good ones!

I always play tutorials... and demos... I try everything in TW, since Shogun, I don't want to miss a drop

Main reason - to find out what changed in the HUD and to get used with the new command system. There are changes, you know... I can still remember the Right-Mouse-Button Mighty Revolution that came with RTW. Such a spectacular leap forward

I'm going to jump into the main game first, I'm too hardcore for a Tutorial . I'll play it at some point though, after completing a campaign as Britian.
