Why cant some ppl learn that if you dont like what is said in one thread just move on to another cuz there has to be like what 8342876517265652527353875623076423874 threads on the interwebs?

On a earlier comment, I think the moderators do a very good job.

Every now and then, people actually do make mistakes. It is only natural, no one is perfect. I have done a post before for example that actually had a naughty word in, which I posted without thinking. What happened? I had a moderator just edit it out, private messaged me just reminding me that it isn't allow, a slap on the wrist with points and expiry date.

It is direct, straight to the point, and it is lenient in the good way. I didn't mean to do that post, and I responded to the moderator letting them know I was wrong and apologised for making them do that extra work. The punishment justified the breach. I was kindly just reminded about the rules and sent on my way.

The thing is, what makes this good compared to other forums, some forums might ban you for 3 to 7 days for it. All it does is makes people feel victimised and unfairly punished. Yes, they broke the rules but think of it in this example, imagine you was a child and you broke a cup. It was just one of those cheap, easy to replace ones. You got the parents which say "be more careful" and you clean up your mess, everything sorted. Then you have the parents which beat their kids senseless over it. I believe .org operates much in the first example which makes people even receiving the punishment respect the person giving them the punishment.

I think the moderators do a great job, even ones I unfortunately had to cross with on official business.

They tolerate when we are mad. I recall being mad with BG for doing thread necromancy. Oh yes, I got one warning point and a minor warning.

Even though, he tolerated it and I apologized for it.

Nah, that never even earned me as much as an infraction. My ban was due to suspicion that I was hacking accounts; but it was promptly revoked as I have proven myself innocent.

perhaps something like TWC, where they have a tribunal? then, there could be a sub-forum for that and then that would be the banned people section, with reasons and specific threads where the offense was commited?

You fail to mention that the reason you were suspected was that you were publicly bragging about hacking people's accounts. That casts a different light on the situation.

They make deli slices of frozen pepsi now? Awesome!
You also need to purchase a small freezer for storage of your pepsi.

Uhh, I guess I won't have pepsi then. Do you have change for a twenty?

    Such as suspension evasion?

I prefer the Org way. The administration decide, and the members have to accept it, or find another site. No arguing, no internet lawyering wasting everyone's time and patience.

    agreed

Bans, temp or perma tend to happen when ppl get riled; better to have it handled quietly and avoid the "drama" a tribunal would provide.

It was more like threatening to hack another person's account when they threatened to blackmail me. Both threats were joking of course. The two of us are very good friends, best friends actually (in .Org sense).

Certain people need to get a sense of humour and stop snitching like little kindergarteners. As long as their accounts are left alone, why should they care what happens to that other person. And how in the name of Chris could they take that seriously? What sort of an idiot would brag about hacking accounts? One would keep that secret and reap the benefits instead of blabbering and falling into deep crap.

Some humour simply doesn't work in some places.

and stop snitching like little kindergarteners.
    ..Just in time: good music.

As long as their accounts are left alone, why should they care what happens to that other person.
That's what's to be expected from a community: some care for each other. I'll tell you this (but keep it quiet please): hacking accounts and/or pretending to be someone else enrages me very much, because it disrupts the community. If anyone likes to be banned asap, that's probably the best way to achieve that goal.

And how in the name of Chris could they take that seriously?
Good music is still good. Last warning though.

What sort of an idiot would brag about hacking accounts?
Been here, I did that. Hacked by...

Hackers are not idiots, there are different types of hackers. Of course there are quiet ones working for a profit, there are also noisy ones working for no profit, wanna-be hackers and many other activities which are called hacking for simplicity, but have nothing to do with that.

One would keep that secret and reap the benefits instead of blabbering and falling into deep crap.
There are no real benefits from hacking an account here. It's an account on a gamingforum, so it's very unlikely anyone could get rich from hacking all accounts at once. Whether anything is to be gained from it or not: hands off!

Frankly, you caused a fair bit of agrivation and misrepresented the actions of a group of people on the board.

It wasn't funny, and it wasn't clever, but Tosa has really already said everything that needs to be said on this topic.

FearofNC allowed Warman to use his account to circumvent Warman's ban. Intentionally aiding someone in breaking the rules is no different than breaking the rules yourself.
