The HMS Gah! will be a mighty warship.

But judging from my naval skills, I won't be able to build them fast enough to replace those that have suffered at the hands of my admirals.

So I'll have HMS Gah!, sunk fighting the mighty French rowboat near Calais, HMS Gah!!, who went down while bravely running away from the feared Portuguese pedalos of Lisbon, HMS Gah!!!, destroyed by a well aimed bottle of champagne on the launch slipway and HMS Gah!!!! built entirely from paper and tin foil due to wood shortages and crumbling economy.

Isn't it Wednesday yet?

Those french rowboats can be nasty if the man in charge is drunk. The best way to beat them is to throw in some good wine vintages and a sophisticated selection of cheeses. The man in charge can't help but stop his boat for a picnic. When he does lean over the side and drop a cannonball through the bottom of the rowboat

Each and every one of my ships will be named after my girlfriend, in the hope that this will go at least some small way towards mitigating her displeasure at being abandoned in favour of ETW for the next few weeks.

Plus, giving all my ships the same name will add an interesting extra challenge to naval battles...

But does your girlfriend appreciate being shot full of holes, set fire to, crashed into a french Warship, and then sunk in the middle of the Atlantic? You could be on tricky ground there my friend.
