Yeah, you can activate night battles in RTWv1.5.

There was debate in the EB team over enabling night battles before EBv1.0. However, when you activate night battles, all event screens appear as a blank. (The connection between night battles and event screens is weird, and it is unknown since it is in the hardcoding of the .exe.) Since a lot of work went into event images and night battles were extremely rare in history, the team choose to not to include night battles.

I've always wondered why there were night fighter traits in EB's EDCT, think you made the right choice there, night battles never seemed to add much to the game IMHO.

And like MAA said, they were really rare in history.

On the other hand, every battle in which the attacker uses Woithiz Watha (Skaduganganz) should be a night battle.

However, when you activate night battles, all event screens appear as a blank.
Is this true for BI and Alex, also?

No. Everything is OK with BI since night battles were addition that came with it.

Just gonna take a wild stab but I think installing the BI or Alex mod is probably simpler than enabling this. Besides the engines are better, well worth the time to use them.
