Boxed ETW installation path?

Does anyone here know if the boxed ETW can be installed anywhere, on any partition? Or will it have to be installed under the Steam path in Program Files?

I'm very anti-steam for this very reason but you could always install steam to another/better suited partition right?

Someone in the Steam questions thread answered my question (which was pretty close to the OP) that the boxed version could be installed wherever, and steam would pick it up. In contrast, buying it through steam would mean installing it in steamapps.

I'm definitely picking up a boxed copy, both for that and (more importantly) for the printed material and physical discs.

Yes, there doesn't seem to be a setting in steam for 'put games in this place' so I installed steam to where I put my games ( non-system drive raid array H:\Games\Steam ) and it's putting everything under there.
