Default .flac files not working in Windows Media Player

.flac files not working in Windows Media Player...

ARGH!!!! I have the limited edition of Lamb of God's Wrath, but I can't play it because WMP doesn't support .flac files. I downloaded the codecs for .ogg and .flac files, and .ogg plays fine, but .flac won't play at all.

    What's wrong?

It didn't get installed right, or you installed the wrong thing.

On this page, try installing this if you are using XP. If you are using Vista you may need to do this. Reboot after installing.

Alternatively you could just install something like the K-lite Codec pack, which installs a snootload of things and includes Media Player Classic, which IMO is far better than WMP.

Disclaimer - Be warned that there is a chance it could hose up your machine in terms of what it installs, some games don't play well with it (like FF7, and some older games).

Aagh! Not playing .flac files in Media Player Classic either. What's happening? I installed all the codecs.

On a lark, have you tried playing some known good FLAC files? I mean as in 100% you know for an absolute fact they are good files. You might have some corrupted data.
