What would you sell?

Which makes me ponder what to take..

I really want the Carribean for my own, so that's out.

India if I can take something I'd sell, only because I doubt I can hold a hindu, muslim nation for very long.

North America is tempting but a real fighting ground and i'm not sure I could get that many troops over.

Maybe something in the ivory coast..or another trade route.....hmm.

I guess the most susceptible nation to strike is spain...but early on I fear spain's reltation would be unkind

Take France, then sell it to Savoy or some other tiny faction. They'll thank you later

Try taking and selling Iceland, or some of the North African provinces. Or maybe some Central American ones.

If I took france it would be too valauable to even consider trading. It would be a testiment to the fact that im not messed with.

Imagine how much trouble it could cause you in the form of rebellions and uprisings though. You might find you can't spare the peace-keeping forces and need to get rid of it fast.

Plus its full of French people.

Being honest, not sure what I would sell. If I was going to sell anything, it might be some troops I would be getting rid of anyway. For example, in Rome:Total War, I made some units just to garrison cities at different settlement populations, so selling them would be fine.

Probably the only thing I would sell is resources/money, or possibly attack on a nation, if that attack can serve in my interest if they are a minor nation which means nothing in the grand scale of things.

If I was going to sell a province, it would have to be a province I don't want. For example, if I was Britain and i ended up with a province in the middle of Europe due to a war where I had to conquer some one. Instead of trying to invest into it and possible allow it to be the target of others. I could possibly sell it to a nearby nation which is in Alliance with myself to keep/gain support with them for my advantage.

Somehow I don't think France is going to be much of a push over in this time frame......i'd keep your eyes on Corsica.

If they don't go over you just aren't pushing hard enough

I'm not sure whether or not to try and hold North America. Seems like India is safer and more lucrative...

You know what I wonder.

If you conquer say England, France or Spain in Europe.

Do they keep the colonies?

Do you get thier colonies?

Do they instantly rebel?

Do they become a emergent faction?

Or does the legacy of of the nation carry on in the other territories?

Just remember; North America became host to the powerfullest contry in the world, India didnt.

^Most colonies would probably become hell-bent on retaking their homeland or die trying.
