Default Things you're looking forward to doing

I, for one, can't wait to march into India with the Russians :P

That aside, the fact that Scotland and Ireland can form their own nations should be interesting. I'll definitely have to give Ireland a whirl.

Besides that, I hope there's some kind of cheap spear unit so I can re-enact the Battle of Rourke's Drift. Two units of British line vs. HORDES AND HORDES OF AI SPEARMEN.
Just hope that fire by rank is implemented in skirmishes :P

Hah, I wanted to invade India with Russia too. But I have to wonder, if Afghanistan like it is in history/now-a-days? The British Empire completely failed to subdue the Afghanistan population in the 3 anglo-afghan wars.

To unify Germany as Prussia, and then reduce Poland to the duchy of Warsaw again.

Cool store, bro! I want some ham.
    No ham, pepsi.
They make deli slices of frozen pepsi now? Awesome!
You also need to purchase a small freezer for storage of your pepsi.
It runs on batteries. You'll need a few.
Uhh, I guess I won't have pepsi then. Do you have change for a twenty?

I want to do a good Prussia campaign and take over everything east of Venice. Then I want to recreate Napoleon's empire as France.

I think we'll see much more diversity with people's first play throughs than in medieval where everyone choose to play as England.

Developing effective skirmishing techniques. Wonder if it would be possible to replicate horse archer tactics.

Diplomacy: Good Ai and protectorates actually meaning something.
Battles: More gun powder and death
    Cities: Ministers look fun

Overall I think the new revoultion mechanic is the biggest feature excitment.

As for in game, flying a german flag over a colony will be good. I'd be nice to have something rather then being kept out of the loop until 1920's like real life lol.

Different era. In the 1700's, from what I know, the main state in the area present Afghanistan occupies was more focused on conquering Persia. The rest of the area was basically just lots of tribes who could easily be played off against each other.

I also failed to mention that I fully intend to play as the Marathas, build a fleet, and invade England. And make them grow tea.

I really want to make elite infantry where I can just set up a line and let the enemy break themselves constantly as they approach...Combined with some powerful artillery as counter-battery fire, I've got myself some nice battles coming. Also, it should be much easier to swap out infantry lines when one is depleted or tired, since now you just move them back and out of range and send a new one in, as opposed to m2 where if a unit was stuck in melee, they were there for a while.

Agreed, it is far far easier to now pull units in and out of battle assuming they are not in a melee charge. Yet I've even found units in midst of bayonet battles far more responsive to commands then the melee units of MTW2.

Finding a mod that makes a decently playable Pirate faction, then going to war against the world from my Pirate Fortress in the Caribbean.

    Arrrrrr!

Actually I havn't heard anything about pirates, other then the small ign snipet that said there were alot of factions and they were interesting.

I wouldn't mind a pirate mod fleshing out the pirate factions. New ships, units, land, etc.

The carribean looks kind of small...(missing islands?)..so i'd like to see a full laid out carribean.

Hopefully pevergreen and his Vanilla Extended Mod will flesh out the Caribbean, but plenty of other mods will probably do so as well.

Pirates could be an extremely tactically challenging faction if done correctly, not to mention one with some wonderful units.

It would be fantastic to start off as a tiny Pirate Republic with an elected King and then try to raid, harass and otherwise annoy the major nations. And eventually take enough ships to go toe-to-toe wit ha real faction and take all of their land .

I think the mere fact I don't have to fight 3 fleets of 2000 ships like I did in MTW2 will be nice.
