Any fix for this issue? I am having this problem in my RTI campaign, chapter 4, year 1800ish. After taking Hispaniola, I get the victory screen and when I click OK to continue...crash. Tried taking another city (Mexico this time) and...crash. Every city I take, I get a CTD afterwards. I also get the msvcr80.dll crash rather often. I'm about ready to give up on this game because of the constant crashing

This lovely CTD has just cropped up for me, too. I've looked here, the Centre forums and the official forums, and there doesn't seem to be any sign of a fix - or even an acknowledgement from CA, which is pretty poor as it is a major game-breaking issue.

I'm currently working back through my pretty exhaustive list of saves to see if I can get around it. I'll post my results.

EDIT:Delightful. My game has also picked up the 'declare war' CTD.

EDIT2: So, I just loaded the last save where I could declare war and conquer cities without a CTD (in 1741) and ran it up to the point I reached before and encountered these crashes (1748). It now appears that I can declare war and conquer anew without CTD :/ So I might be able to continue.

There is one more thing I suspect that I want to test...

EDIT3: Well I thought it might have been something to do with armies not having enough movement points to enter the city they captured, or fleets being in the enemy port of the city, but no - looks like those saves were all corrupted and I just have to go back 16 turns.

EDIT4: No dice. After a few turns, I was CTDing when making diplomatic proposals/declaring war. The whole game is lost. Thanks a bunch, CA.
