Will anybody else not be able to play for a few days?

Well, i could play, for there is nothing else i need to do, but i can't, because i ordered the game from play.com today as i absolutely refuse to use Steam(ing pile of ****), and they don't have a next day delivery option, so if i'm lucky i'll get it Thursday morning, if i'm not lucky i'll get it Friday morning, and if i'm very very very unlucky i'll only get it next Monday morning.

Just reassure me that i'm not the only one who won't be playing tomorrow, because it feels like i will be.

I plan on playing it tomorrow but you know what it's like with these things, something disasterous is bound to happen. Like a freak tornado appears and sucks up only my computer and every copy of E:TW in town.

You'll still be using Steam in some capacity... activation is handled through it, whether you bought a boxed copy or digital download.

I think it's a good thing. I would rather have Steam than SecuROM.

My copy is on backorder At least my new video card will arrive in the mail before the game so when I do get the game I can hopefully enjoy it on High instead of Medium.

Steam reports about 9 hours before it will allow authentication. I imagine anywhere from 4-6 hours after that will be needed to download. So it will likely be mid-morning tomorrow before I'm able to do anything.

well...my computer broke just last week, and I need to send it back to the store since it's only a month old.....so yeah I won't be playing for a while for at least a week

If everything goes to plan with my pre-order, I'll get the game on the 6th of March, this Friday. I'm hoping that's how things work out because it will be much harder to receive a UPS package while my University is on spring break next week. The fact that I live in the middle of nowhere doesn't help matters much either. Anyway I have my fingers crossed, and I too have a video card/RAM upgrade coming in before the game, tomorrow probably.

So other then the people who are doing the not getting it for a month waiting for pc upgrade crowd, I'm pretty sure i'll be the last want the game now person to get it lol.

Well, play.com is still tracking my order as "packing", which apparently means payment has been processed and item is being readied for dispatch.

It has said this since 6am yesterday morning when i ordered it, and it's now 8am the following morning.

If anybody ever plans on moving to England, bear in mind that the mailing system here is horrid.

I'm severely anti-social though, i refuse to go into town and have to wade and shove my way through the masses of plebs all standing outside Greggs eating cheese and onion pasties and middle-aged women all gossipping about their friends and other such crap.

Only to get to Game and have to cue up with all the other losers in the store for 10 minutes and listen to people in the cue talk about how they downed the lich king last night. I mean, i play WoW, played it for 3 years, but must people spend all day talking about it as well as playing it?

That's nothing. I once ordered an MP3 player from Amazon, and it was 'ready for dispatch' for about a week.

Eventually I had to cancel my order and buy it from Currys instead.

Right, according to play it has been shipped, along with Left 4 Dead which i ordered at the same time. It says wait 3-5 days for delivery. It's now down to lady luck. I could get it tomorrow morning-early afternoon, or i could get it next Monday. You just never know with the Royal (pain in the ****) mail.

I suppose the worst thing that could happen, aside from it only coming next Monday morning, is getting a package tomorrow or Friday, hoping it's Empire, then seeing that it's Left 4 Dead, because Play ship all games seperately.

For me it's up to the weekend. If this thing can get over the sea before saturday sunday I can get it by saturday. If not, then it get's slim.

Assuming it ships late on the 4th , 5th to get out of states, usually a day to euro 6th, and hopefully here where I live on 7th.

Of course if it gets delayed another 3 days in there, but i'm hoping it does show up :)

Yes I really must stop reading those, no good can come of it. Either they make me depressed because people are raving about how good the game is and I don't have it yet or else they make me depressed because people are saying the game isn't good or doesn't work.

I too have a dentist's appointment on Friday, and I haven't been flossing.
