Pulled pork is the ONLY true BBQ -- and by the way, it's only "pulled pork" to people who don't know. It's sliced or chopped BBQ. And anyway, you can't BBQ a sausage because the flavor won't soak in right; that's the point of real BBQ.

I also fail to see Hushies in your list of sides; I'm afraid I'll have to count that against you as well.

Jayssuus. Brisket is the true BBQ meat any yank or Californian can do pulled pork. Brisket is an art form passed down from one Texan to the next. Pulled pork is an abomnation of God

Hush puppies? A side? Yea a side dish for the appetizers Maybe and thats if it's a light BBQ
There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

FOOD FIGHT! My favorite BBQ is the one on the plate in front of me at the moment even if it's yours. Deftly removes SFTS's & Reverend Joe's BBQ plates and drinks their beer as they squabble....musn't let the BBQ get cold & the beer warm...momma didn't raise no fool.

A barbecue is not right unless the sausages are charcoal on the outside, and raw inside. And it has to be raining.

I'm sure your brisket is fine and all, but you're definitely right about one thing: any damn yankee can do "pulled pork." Only a true North Carolinian can do Chopped BBQ. Besides, I bet those damn yankees don't have the patience to cook an entire pig over the course of an entire day. That takes dedication and skill.

Trust me, man, if you've never had true chopped BBQ, you don't know. Your problem is probably that you've only had the "pulled pork" ripoff crap.

And don't you dare knock the Hushies.

My Irish father actually cooks some of the best Italian I've ever had. It's better than every "authentic" Italian restaurant I've ever been to, no matter how expensive. I seriously doubt anyone but a true Italian could beat him.
