Just a side note, to demonstrate code on forums, you can go

for example: [SPOIL][/SPOIL]

@ The case on Tincow. I don't get the accusations towards him. Townies defend maifa all the time, look at GF3 with Reenk and Beefy, it happens. Furthermore Tincow's defense has been in character and does nothing to raise my suspicions.

@Beefys two PM's: My guess is he's a pro town role, after all a mafioso would want to stay as much out of the public spotlight as possible. For now it would be best for the town to not demand the PM.

@ Ares: Welcome to the club of one turn mafia runs. Now you know what I felt like in capitalist commi.

Very good spot by Taka. From the original story Vode was the God of War and Foreign Peoples I believe. I'm almost certain that he is the Deity of choice for the Mafiosi.

In light of this, and considering that Ares has confessed I shall Vote: Ares.

It's come to my attention that I need to do this in the proper format: Accept: Sasaki Kojiro
(challenge accepted)

And blah-de-blah-de-blah, in spoilers.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
I still find your leap on 777Ares777 to be just a bit too single-minded, uncompromising, and enthusiastic to be genuinely townie behavior. Seemed as though you wouldn't even entertain the suggestion that it could have been some kind of frame job. Whether he ended up being guilty or not is beside the point. Any mafia, I think, would react with great enthusiasm to the idea of hard evidence against anyone but themselves, and not even begin to think critically about the idea that it could be wrong. Either that, or they might quietly bandwagon without much discussion. I get more of a townie vibe from anyone who questioned or was resistant to just nodding and saying "ok" to what we were told.

As it stands, it's even been suggested that Ares may in fact not be a serial killer, but a mafioso. Another unlikely possibility; he could have a suicide role like an actor. While I agree that the most likely circumstance is that he's scum, be it serial killer or murderer, I believe it's not genuinely townie behavior to just readily accept it without much thought. Secondly, I find it very odd that given my exposure as a mason or claimed mason, and my pathetically low duel rating, you would be so keen on killing me in a duel. I have nothing to lose, so I accepted. I already think you're scum, and if for some reason I was able to best you in battle, then w00t, go me. I think we already had this discussion about pointless duels, and I think your duel with me is pointless, and possibly scummy. This will eliminate me as a suspect when I die, because a mafia with a low duel rating willingly getting killed in battle makes no sense. If I manage to kill you somehow, then I will have eliminated a potentially scummy person who was just a little bit too eager to give the Ares writeup your complete and unwavering faith, and my exposure as a mason nearly no credibility whatsoever.

What are you Sasaki? Are you a skeptic, or a believer? Do you automatically assume things must be true, or do you assume things must be false, or do you consider things with an open mind? You believed with absolute conviction Ares was guilty, well before allowing him to present his defense (and well before allowing him to further incriminate himself), yet you disbelieved with absolute conviction the possibility that I was a mason and therefore trustworthy. Total belief, and total disbelief, and in both cases, you offered no benefit of the doubt to the opposing viewpoint.

If it weren't such an absolutist statement, I'd quote that line from Star Wars regarding the Sith, and how only a Sith deals in absolutes. Before discussion, before evidence, before the court of public opinion, before an open mind could weigh the facts, you decided. Do you possess greater knowledge than the rest of us regarding the nature of the game? Do you possess greater confidence in your knowledge than we do? And if you are a townie, why are you so hell-bent on killing a mason without even the opportunity for an investigation? These thoughts and more run through my mind when I read all your posts leading up to your challenging me. As such, it didn't take a moment's hesitation for me to make a summary judgment against you, Sasaki: One of us has to go. We can afford to get rid of you, because as some have observed about me, you will contribute post-mortem, and we already got one of them scumbags this round. And we can afford to lose me, as I already volunteered to die any place, any time, and I prefer not to waste a lynch or an investigation on my weak, useless, exposed mason self if I can easily be murdered in battle.

Some may disagree with my suicide methods, but you need to eliminate suspects, and I see this as a very convenient way of eliminating at least one top suspect for the town. Should I win the day, I will use this as a rallying cry against pointless duels once again. Should I fail, I've wasted none of the town's resources in proving myself.

Don't for a moment think that I've made this personal or about me; it's about the team doing better with either or both of us cleared as suspects, and we can afford to figure this out, with the wonderful gift the "gods" have bestowed upon us last night with Ares' being exposed and later confessing.

This battle was inevitable from the beginning. Two men enter... one man leaves.

En garde, Sasaki Kojiro, and good luck.

A) 3 will beat a 2.

B) The constant and continued inconsistencies in Ares reveals have been well noted throughout the day. For instance, the god he lists. It is likely he adjusted his information around to confuse the situation, and make best of his cornering.

Dear lord, we have not yet lynched a single person
With five hundred posts, I hope it does not worsen.

Which means we need to look at who bought the "confession" hook, line, and sinker:

Although if Ares was covering for him, I think Blackadder's reaction would have been a bit different.

There is zero reason why we need Ares around, now. A confession is a confession.
Interesting that ATPG has also claimed mason... with a partner.

Note the emphasis on reminding everybody that Ares is without a partner.

And also note Ares's explanation to my post questioning the motive:

-edit- I think I need to start preparing my eulogy for Godfather 3's post count record.

-edit2- Keep in mind that nobody's questioning Ares's guilt and that he should probably die this round. It's the nature of his guilt (serial killer or another mafia faction?) that's in question. I, for one, am keeping my vote on FH.

-edit3- Wait, scratch the pevergreen bit. I completely forgot he was dead.
