The full version is for 9 or more players, but the limit for mini games is 7.
I had some interested parties for a speed mafia, but it seems like we're never online for several hours all together at a stretch. So, I'd like to do a mini game to pass the time until my large game is next in line, or my small game starts.
Rules: (Read please or don't sign up )
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
1. THERE ARE OTHER GAMES NEEDING PLAYERS. Bigger and better ones. Don't sign up to this one unless you have seriously considered the bigger games. I will not steal players. This is the most important rule. Don't sign up until you've looked at every other game that needs players. It's just a "pass the time" mini game.
2. 24 hour days, extensions granted if I don't get a vote from everyone. Please tell me if you can't get your vote in on time. Max 48 hours~ for a day phase.
3. Night phases usually end as soon as I get night actions, but this game has no night actions, so there are only day phases. Therefore this will be a very quick game. The full version should be more complicated.
4. The game ends if you fail to nail the correct person when there are 4 people left, because the "mafia" will murder the other two after you lynch one person. So you get... drumroll... 4 chances to get the correct person.
5. Have fun.

EDIT: @ALL
The usual rules for no private reveals, no cheating, no screenshots, or otherwise gaming the system still apply. Do I really have to repost them?
You can talk outside of this thread, but it shouldn't be necessary. Keep everything in-thread, on-topic, and sportsmanlike.

The Murder Manor game is based on the premise that you're all rooms, not people.
Someone broke into my house. There is a murderer hiding in one of the rooms, and you rooms tell me which room to search. I will search through four consecutive rooms before I get tired and go to bed. When I go to bed, I have failed to catch the murderer hiding in a room, and therefore he murders me inside my manor.
You all lose, except for the murderer, who steals everything in my mansion and does horrible things to my body before disposing of me in a manner most vile which will prevent the police from finding the body.
More details will be posted, of course. (There will be 4 consecutive "day phases" and no murders until the very end, basically)
In spite of the game's simplicity, the stakes are high. You'll be doing what amounts to an endgame situation. Who is the murderer? Can you figure it out from voting patterns alone? There's not much data.
The murderer won't be doing night kills, and the writeups will be good. Specially the last one.
I'm going to make each round's writeup a delicious treat.

Rooms
Kitchen- a very clean and organized place with lots of sharp objects Coat Closet- a neat and efficient storage room with plenty of rusty coat hangers Dining Room- an immaculate dining area with heavy iron candlestick holders Bathroom- a very sanitary bath area with a large steel wrench under the sink Living Room- an elegant and spotless relaxation room with a fireplace containing a metal fire poker Basement- a cold and dark storage area containing a gasoline powered chainsaw Bedroom- a warm and confortable sleeping area containing a hidden antique revolver Study- a cozy and quiet place to study containing several large bookcases and a letter opener Attic- a spacious and finished attic containing several bundles of electrical cords
The original game started with 9. So I will randomly cross off two rooms, randomly give people their role messages, and give the murderer a room to hide in.
The Murder Manor is owned by Askthepizzaguy. He comes home and finds the door open, with signs of forced entry. Unsure of whether or not anyone is still in the house, he must search each room to try to find the intruder. Each room has a player assigned to it. The players vote during the day phase to determine which room Askthepizzaguy should search. When a room is searched, it is searched very, very thoroughly, and the entire room is a gigantic mess, and the player assigned to that room may no longer vote. Askthepizzaguy is too tired to search every single room, so when it gets down to the final 4 rooms, he can only search one more and then he will have to go to bed. If one of the three remaining rooms has the intruder, he exits the room and murders Askthepizzaguy.

It was a cold winter. Askthepizzaguy hated the cold... he had grown up in a northern state, and it was always gray and cloudy, windy, and the ground was always covered with ice and slush. His driver pulled up the long and winding path to Pizzaguy Manor, passing the many gargoyle statues along the way which had become covered in the droppings of the pesky black birds which nested in the towers of the perimeter walls of the compound. After returning from his "business" trip to the gameroom, he was exhausted from the jet lag and the entire month of February. He had been moderately successful using the Device, but it still needed work. As he was lost in thought, his cell phone rang.
"What is the status, Q?
...
That sounds about right. I believe that would make an excellent addition to the program. They won't know what hit them. Has anyone figured out where the lab is yet?
...
Ok good, then our security hasn't been compromised. I'll send you further designs as they come to me, but I need to take a break from it this week. I'll be sending you a time-encrypted message with the next phone number shortly."
Askthepizzaguy flipped the phone closed, and took a small device out of his pocket, which was coated with adhesive on one side. He stuck it to the phone, and lowered the bulletproof glass window. He pushed a button and tossed the phone out towards the gargoyle statues and the black birds which were pooping all over them. The phone exploded in a massive fireball, and he easily took out 70 or 80 of those pesky birds. "I must remember to go back and pick up all the pesetas, bullets, and hand grenades they dropped" Pizzaguy thought to himself. "I never liked that particular statue anyway."
The limousine pulled up to the Manor, and the driver let Pizzaguy out of the vehicle. He could see that the front door had been kicked open. Why hadn't the alarm system gone off? Bloody hell. A $40,000 state of the art alarm system, and it didn't even go off. He ordered the driver to leave the property immediately, and Pizzaguy took out his silenced pistol and approached his manor with a look of extreme wrath at having his living space violated. "Whoever you are... you're going to regret ever having crossed me..." he muttered to himself.
Pizzaguy kicked the front door fully open, and immediately checked the Security Room, where the monitors had been disabled, and the computer system was smashed to hell. The entire system appeared to have been tampered with by some programming means, and then after the alarm system had been deactivated, the device had been smashed to bits with the repeated blows of some kind of blunt object. Pizzaguy shook his head, but he knew he could not call the police to investigate this crime scene, for he had been dealing in illegal activities himself quite a bit lately. He had just recently burned down an entire British community over at the TWC, with the victims covered in gasoline and tied together with rope. It had been necessary. Now it was necessary to destroy this intruder, and return to building the Device.
You must tell me which Rooms to search. You have 4 chances of nailing the intruder. If you fail, I will be brutally murdered, and you all lose, because the rooms will be destroyed... the intruder plans to plant a bomb which will destroy Pizzaguy Manor.
Make your choices wisely. Day phase begins now, and will end after everyone has voted and 24 hours have passed. Extensions will be granted if not everyone has voted. Max 48~ hours per turn.
RULES: Read before continuing. Not optional.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
1. Don't cheat or do anything unsportsmanlike 2. Vote for a ROOM to search, not a player
3. Public or private reveals are allowed.
4. Quoting the host's PM is allowed.
5. Rooms were distributed randomly via random.org.
6. There are no night phases, only 4 consecutive day rounds.
7. No screenshots, or otherwise ironclad proof of your innocence. Please play this game legitimately, using guessing and logic, not rule workarounds.
8. Respect the spirit of these rules. Even if you do something that is technically legal, but should be covered by the prohibition against cheating or unsportsmanlike conduct, you could face a permanent ban from my games.
9. If you accidentally do something you're not sure is legal, come talk to me, and all will be forgiven.

My TWC game has a similar mechanic, feel free to look through this thread for tactics, common ones are looking for voting patterns, however the variation is that ATPG's rooms are equal which gives his game thw twist that makes clue finding even more impossible!
