Will EB work with this video card?

I currently have to use a rather mediocre laptop. I wonder if EB/RTW will work with the video card Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD. Though it has 768 mb in memory, the card is still rather poor from what I know. Is it worth bothering installing RTW?

Should run it good. I play the game via bootcamp on my old Macbook white which has a GMA X3100 - i believe yours is the next gen in cards on from that. Basically i can run it with unit detail set to high on huge scale, however, i did have to turn vegetation and grass down to low, but it looks very pretty all the same. hope that helps

ha what'ya know i plan on my new macbook and it runs great. although the new ones have an upgraded video card.

Thank you. I've installed the game, now I'm gonna get the patches and then EB.

I play EB on a 4 year old computer with embarrasingly low 64mb Intel Integrated graphics (runs okay on low-ish settings), so it should run very nicely on your laptop.

While we're at it, might I ask if M2TW and CoD4 and CoD5 will work?

How do you run EB is it alright?

EB should work because it just needs the video specs for RTW...what it really needs is a lot of RAM. I have vista and EB wouldn't work with 1 gb of ram but when I upgraded to 2 gb it worked just fine.

that's because you have vista. If you have Xp, you only need half the amount; you can check out the Empire total war specs-for some wierd and twisted reason, they require a 1GB for Xp, yet 2 for Empire (single, no duo).

of course, Empire is choppy on my computer, even though its a 2GB duo

Hmm oh well.

Yes, EB works. Just have to lower settings very much. That's ok though, the only thing I make no compromises on is unit size

My GMAX3000 runs Rome fine with pretty much everything(Shaders weren't enabled in the driver back then) so I'm assuming your GMA4500HD will work.

My experience is the newer and more powerful the video card / graphic drivers you have, the more CTD's you'll enjoy.
