Ah well. Once again town does well by NOT listening to me. Hahahaha

Turns out I was helping the Mafia mastermind as best I could anyway... I even asked Pevergreen if there was a mafia mastermind and he acted like he'd never heard of one.

    Hilarious.

In a half aware daze. Depression really sucks when your trying to concentrate for long periods of time.

Well... Mastermind'd again. This is getting annoyingly common.

Well played khaan, but you had to die in the end.

Well done town, well done khaan, what a twist. Now, is it really over, or is there another twist?

First town victory were I actually survived. Anyway, well played by all. The anti town roles have nothing to be ashamed about. Wish GH got to run his last kill for 'khan though.

So with 9 alive, we had 5 mafia left...and they all bought it

Very bold choice by khaan to go for the solo victory. Don't think he had a chance at success though.

I enjoyed doing the Oswald write ups, and enjoyed even more when yoyoma and reenk died as a result of them. Killing seamus the night he investigated me was choice as well.

    Here's our quicktopic:

    http://www.quicktopic.com/43/H/VaLYuRTvhWyPW

AVSM got killed because he posted asking when the role pm's were going to be sent out, but then edited to "nvm" a few minutes later.

Taka for mentioning something about davey.

Alexander the pretty good because we thought it likely that he would pick lemur to send his results through.

YLC because it looked like he might be trying to distance himself from a mairead role.

Greyblades because he seemed a bit twitchy.

    Andres because he seemed scummy.

Seamus because he was the detective

LG because we wanted an el diablo lynch

I went after LittleGrizzly as hard as I did because we absolutely couldn't have it look like I knew a detective had a guilty on Ituralde. That would have pointed right to GH. I kept it up in later rounds because I'd convinced myself he was mafia though in the round boudica got lynched I pushed him because I needed to look like I didn't want boudica lynched and because I needed another suspect for godfather.

Final two rounds, we thought khaan would be with us, but he decided to go his own way...low activity, ended predictably with the remaining three mafia dying off and the townies winning. Game peaked at the last minute vote change to lynch boudica.

A few comments real quick about the choices for Godfather:

GH- Rather obvious, is it not? The recent host of Godfather III, a game I tried to participate in and FAILED utterly in. However, despite that, it was still quite fun. GH did a great service to the many who play now who never got to play the first two. In combination with the eery fact that GH almost *never* ends up as a mafioso, something I feel is very unfortunate(loving to play the role myself). Add in the fact that I want to, of course, see how he plays as a mafioso(again, seeing as its so rare) without having to actually be suffered to it without knowledge of its happening.

Diana Abnoba- Consider this my WELCOME! to mafia. I feel there is no better way to be introduced to mafia than to be thrust into the fire as a mafioso, particularly if there are solid veterans to learn from. Myself, my first game was Cosa Nuova II, in which I was a rook mafioso who got lynched halfway through the game. However, I got to learn from Seamus and Hughtower, both of whom had an excellent idea of what they were doing.
Of course, to be honest, there is more to this than just that- an inexperienced Godfathermother, I felt, would be a generally easier target to work with. Plus, I figured it was a near guarantee that you would pick Pizzaguy as one of your grunts, and I love me a sparring match with Pizza. And you wisely picked Andres to help offer guidance to your efforts. All in all, you played an excellent game, lasting longer than I did for sure my first time!

Of course, I'm sure that GH, Sasaki, and Ituralde are quite curious about my end game choices. Basically, it works like this: in the second to last round, I had ONE way of ensuring my total victory; to convince the town of GH's guilt, lynching him and casting Sasaki out of Inishmore in one fell swoop. unfortunately, nobody took my bait, and instead targeted Sasaki, which was highly unfortunate for me. I was pretty convinced that GH would have me killed regardless at this point, since I had pretty well shown I WASN'T on their side, and my threat of having him lynched was moot since he had the same ability.

Now, I could have cast my vote, in the end, for El Diablo. What would that have done? 2 vs 1 vs 1. 2 mafia, one townie, and me. Result? Victory. For both me and the English Mafia. If either mafia had one, I would have won as well. But here's the thingy about that... I'm really bad about sharing. I was going to take my shot for the ultimate victory and hope for the slim chance that GH would try to kill El Diablo or Lord Winter, while I would kill him, resulting in only myself and the one remaining townsperson, and a true WELSH triumph.
It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then, the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell.
