Default Custom screen resolutions? Improving graphics.

    ETW is wow!,

That said I wonder if anyone has had any luck running custom resolutions. On my laptop(my only gaming machine) it runs well but graphics are best at max resolution 1680/1050, however writing in particular is too small on 15.4" laptop screen.

I would like to run ETW in 840/525 mode a straight pixel 2x2 reduction, this would also help fraps and reduce need for graphics tweaks. I can already run windows in this resolution.

Of course can run in 800x600 or 1280/800(that's probably my best compromise) but writing is jaggy and difficult to read.

I wonder if the game gets the modes from windows or are they are stuck in the hidden config files?. If the first is true then it may be worth persisting in driver selection/tweaks. Of course the second would be easiest as in many games. eg. in cfg file :screen 840,525.

I do realize the developers need to keep things standard to help in crash/bug control but an unofficial post would be great.
Of course as well the promised SDK may solve this.

    1280/1024?

I don't think you can modify screen res like this, and not in the SDK either.
