Taken from TWC:

Use the run command, or command prompt, and type "regedit"

[HKEY_USERS\[Your String]\Software\The Creative Assembly\Empire]
"ep_unlock"

to 5

This will allow you to play any RtI episode.

Warning: Registry Editing is not for the computer illiterate. You can cause a lot of harm, if you stick to this one key, you will be fine.

Instead of playing through each episode to be able to get to Episode 5, where you play as the USA after the revolt, you can modify the reg key and skip the first four episodes.

I can't wait for somebody to unlock the minor faction... there are so many i want to play as so badly!

i heard that by doing that the game crashes a bunch.

Yea i havn't seen anyone do it yet, though i'm sure they are trying. Though game is fairly unstable and code kind of iffy so most mods and code changes will lead to having to reinstall the game, so i'm sure it's not to eager for most mods.
