    Default Platoon Fire...

    ...is a KILLER.

I was doing some quick battles to test different graphic setting combos and I did one with:
    - Late units
    - 2 Prussian Grenadier
    vs.
    - 1 Russian Guards

The Grenadiers used platoon fire and just murdered the Guards. It was not even close. Very cool animations too, as the fire rolled from left to right and back again in one continuous process.

I have a feeling I'm gonna make getting this via the tech tree a priority.

Seeing your units utterly destroy the enemy with fancy firing drills really makes teching up worthwhile .

Yep its a deadly process. I just wish ,in my game, that Issac newton hadnt died and set back my research by about 5 years.

My Newton got himself killed in a duel of honor. Thats what happens when a mild-mannered 60-year-old scientist attempts to win a swordfight...
