Man, these guys rock in melee. It's troublesome taking screenies without ETW storing them in a folder somewhere, so sorry for the small numbers.

And can you elaborate on the reinstall thing, Pevergreen? I only backup'd the file that was going to be overwritten. I hope that'll prove to be enough.

Hopefully that will be enough, but its always a good idea to have a copy of the entire data folder, if you have room.
As for screenshots, use fraps, then convert them with infranview. Its good, Monk told me so!

Do you have the tech tree? I fear you will just be left behind later on.

It would be a shame if CA released sufficient modding tools, and all the hard work went to waste. :P

I stil hope they do

. At the moment the mod is pretty unstable, and most of the factions that it unlocks have about 4 units each. We definitely need a mod to add in some more units.

It's a shame they didn't just make more factions playable in the first place. That would've avoided the entire issue.

Ok, it's 1717. I drove the French out of Upper Louisiana and New France, leaving them with lower Louisiana, Newfoundland, and Acadia. I am allied with the Pueblo Nations and have trade relations with the Cherokee Nations and the Ottoman Empire (!!!).

When I conquered Quebec, it came with a port. With the port, I am now able to recruit Dhow's (sp?), those Arab trading vessels with 3 guns (

). This is gonna be awesome. My main army consists of Musketmen, elite Warriors, cannons. I keep some bowmen for longer range attacks and cavalry for brutish flanking.

Also when I conquered Quebec, I got ahold of a Classical University. I'll post the small tech tree sometime later.

Short-term goals:

-capture French ships with my crappy fleet of Dhows
-drive the French off my continent
-establish the Inuits and Hurons as protectorates

Long-term Goals:

-drive the British off my contient
-reduce Cherokee territory to Florida, then establish them as protectorates
-establish the Plains Nations as protectorates
-conquer a bit of territory in the Carribean
-conquer Iceland and keep it as my eye on Europe
-conquer some land in India

My heir is a woman. It isn't too unrealistic, as the Iroquois were a matriarchal society. IIRC, each longhouse was governed by a clanmother, who in turn chose a man as their chief. When a couple married, the groom moved in with the bride. Family trees were matriarchal.\

What else? Oh yes, PEVERGREEN: please explain the whole idea about Fraps, please. I heard of it, but have no idea what it's about.

No problems in the campaign so far. Fear us:

EDIT: And about the fog of war problem, it only applied to the lands I started out with. As I keep a small garrison in each town anyways, it has no effect, really. The only problem is there's this small blind spot near the Great Lakes. That will be resolved when I conquer the Huron homeland as that fog of war problem doesn't apply to conquered territories, so far as I see.
