    Talking Thank You

Hello. I just installed Europa Barborum and have fallen in love with it.

    First thing. Music. Amazing.

Factions. A very good selection, and much more realistically placed.

Now, before I downloaded this I did of course know it was much more historically acurate than Vanilla Rome (similar to RTR), but the amount of detail (especially the names) blew me away. I can't wait to get Medieval 2 simply because I can't wait to get EB 2!

    You guys Rock!

Welcome newcomer, to the world of EB.

I share your opinion, I played Rome Total Realism before this, but this game was astonishing as it takes the RTW to the limits. The period of history, the accuracy, the team and support, battles, hidden humour, the smallest details and much much more make this the most awesome mod I ever played!

You will find out during your gameplaying that you learn a lot, much more than the average person. The game itself with all descriptions but also this community full of history-wise intellectuals can almost provide you an entire Antiquity education!

If you haven't already done so, download the official fixes for the game, to avoid nasty CTD's.

Good luck with conquering the other Alexandrian Successor States as the one and only true successor or creating the Roman Empire, or perhaps twist history to a large Carthaginian empire. Maybe you choose to have the barbarians to teach the Romans a lesson or conquer all with your vast hordes of nomads.

Whatever you are going to do, I wish you the best of luck!

I am new to EB, as well, I did try another Roman mod, but did not like it, the focus was on large battles, right from the start, does not suit my way of play.
I could decide between EB and RS, so I downloaded both, have not touched RS yet, no need to, but its there for one day.
On EB I love the map, factions, units, music and all the historical info. It is very clear to see that alot of time, effort and love has been put to this game and something to be immensly proud of.
My post favourite part is that you can recruit non- faction units. I am playing as the Romani, and I like that I can recruit non-Roman units, I do love phalanx units, like to stick a phalanx on the end of my battle line, to deter enemy cavarly flanking, with a unit of skirmishers waiting in the wings, die Carthaginian elephants!
