I can't speak for the Jacobites, but when I conquered GB's territories in Europe and abandoned Ireland and Scotland to the dogs, Ireland and Scotland emerged as factions. The two famed banners: green flag with a golden harp, blue flag with a white cross. The Scots had some clansmen; that is, they wield swords and pistols (haven't personally fought them yet, but that's what it says on the total war site).

Btw, GB was destroyed, and their colonies in NA went to various emergant factions.
