Chauci and Gauti warbands have backward spears

Is there any way to simply flip their spears around? I'm kind of sick of these guys stabbing their brethren...

I know there is one fairly simple solution (replace Chauci and Gauti skeletons with the Dugundhiz one), but I'm not sure if that's how they used their spears (overhand) as they are depicted wielding them underhand (or if this effects their performance).

Any help, thoughts, clarifications?
