Ibrahim is Arabic for Abraham. Its not a very common name, as most Arabs prefer to call children Ahmad or Muhammad. actually, it was never a common name in the Arab world. As to why it sounds jewish: well, the name is loaned from Hebrew (in fact, when I get to it, it has an odd declension, because of being foreign). it also helps that Arabic is related to Hebrew.
And I was actually named for Abraham Lincoln though, not the prophet. mom picked it.
lastly, I have finally written up and submitte the paper for college, so now I can focus on this. expect to have some more news in a week.
