Default Japanese Robot Sings National Anthems

Enjoy the wonderful stylings of Hatsune Miku.

    To clarify, voice synthesizer.

Well it's not official anyway... and it's not a robot, it's just Vocaloid a Japanese singing synthesizer.
But kudos to the person who used the software and made the anthem... it's VERY difficult to use Vocaloid, a Japanese software and creating something non-Japanese.

How odd, I found myself feeling somewhat emotional listening to those.

We've still got a way to go before our machines are able to get the subtleties of language right. Interesting though.

Wow, is that really synthesized? It can sing anything.
It has to sing Bob Marley's "Redemption Song" at least.

Well, they did do Don't Worry, Be Happy, though it isn't Marley.

Hmm, it can't really go wrong, though I'd really wish a Marley tune.

Ahhh, I found Bee Gees!!! "Melody Fair" Brilliant!

And a suprisingly tight version of "California Dreamin'", even thought I don't like the original at all.

"Let It Be" - Beatles. Word.

Wow ... just listened to this and I'm sure glad I did. I'm gonna hafta retract my early comment about having a way to go, etc.. Not heard vocal emulation of this quality before, ever. Very, very cool.

    ***

The Youtube clip comments mention that the "guitar" solo is Realstrat, meaning computer-based software tone generation played from a keyboard! Man ... Jan Hammer, eat your heart out! I recently stumbled across a Realstrat rendition of "Cause We've Ended as Lovers" by Jeff Beck, which I link here in case anyone is interested in hearing it. It ain't Beck, but it's still pretty amazing, especially to keyboard players who like to emulate electric guitar solos.

    Thanks for this!

A good rendition of the song Apologize, but it's a bit too quiet.

And a weirdish and kind of crappy We Are the Champions.
It's with Sweet Ann, no music though.

And a certain other song as well.

I'll look through the 70s, 80s, and 60s music threads to find songs to search for.
