Hmm...one of the Issues you brought up about England can be resolved pretty quickly actually since England can easily get to Scandinavia pretty quickly. Plus, the distance is not enormous either and is actually pretty reasonable. This would give England several fronts - France, Scotland, Scandinavia, Spain at least, if that doesn't rule out a crusade into Outremer. Also, take into account Russian expansion and possible trips to Pomeriania - I think the only people safe from the English are the Hungarians

Plus, they have Longbowmen, stakes, Swordsmen galore, stakes, Halberds, stakes...um...yeah and stakes. I just like the semi-professional appeal of the English armies.
