ETW has implemented some of the great UI from Sid Meier's Civil War games, but the 'charge' button that those games had would be a worthy addition as well. In previous TW titles it would have been less useful, but is appropriate for ETW given the nature of the combat and greater emphasis on groups and formations.

You can select a group or select all and click the crossed swords and double click a location. All will run there and if enemy units are in their path they will fight, but if they get a chare bonus or not, I have no idea.

Thats what I did try and in short it just doesn't work, in fact if you ever want to massacre all your men for some reason then try it yourself.

Next time I am in a fight I may try the alt click to see if it works in land battles. That would just target the one unit though, however dogpileing one at a time might get you down the line with fewer casualties…just maybe.

It could turn out that you need to do it individually, and so far I have never found my troops as strong as the AI in melee, regardless of the stats.

I think someone did say the AI do get bonus points to their stats.
