Am pretty pissed ETW doesnt use 4 CPU cores, how many does it use ?

Out of all games that needed Multi core support its this one!!. I hate the way on all there video previews at the end it says "plays great on i7". Well i7 is Quad.

Is there any talk of a patch or something to allow more cores ?

I all ways thought that Empire would be the game that would allow even huger armies as so many people have Quad cores these days, in 6 month intel's 8 cores will be out !!

Any info is appreciated !

do you have any source for that claim, i never thought that they would make it multithreaded as it suppoce to be to much work. i saw an other programmer explain it but cant remember for the life of me were

but that patch will be in June, i think. or july.

I think it was part of the IGN interview or something. At any rate, programming games for more than 2 cores is pretty tough. Programming for 2 cores in itself is somewhat hard due to all the synchronization issues. Having a buttload of general purpose cores is probably best reserved for computers that have to process tons of jobs or process jobs that are easily modularized.
