    Default Loading and unloading Ships

What am I not getting here?

I can’t load troops on ships in a port, or unload them either. I have to find some spot on the shore where they will match up and do it there.

It seems a bit unwieldy. I wouldn’t say it is bugged but it could use some work.

Or is there something I don’t know?

While in a port have the army selected and click on the board ship icon (looks like two arrows on opposite direction). This will bring up the boarding screen. Now select in that screen all your units and move them with the arrow to the fleet. Your army will disappear and you can move your fleet out of the harbor. It is not very intuitive and rather complicated. I don't understand why CA changed it and I like the way it was in RTW/M2TW better.

Move ships once space out, move troops onto ships.

Select army tab if in port, move out.

In and out, not too hard.

Ports arent usually in the best spots for me, I just land on the ground.

I have found control+a to be my friend when embarking and disembarking. Just drag the unit cards to the shoreline and viola.

But ports usually have roads linking them to the region capital. Plus, troops unloaded in port can move that same turn. So, you get further/faster than if you unload on the shore and sit for the rest of the turn.

There exists a button in the "army" tab. It's under the recruit general/disband/etc. buttons. It only shows up when an army is in port.
