    Default Triumph

I'm new to this mod and am about 20 years into a Romani campaign. One of my FMs has received a message inviting him back to Rome with his army to celebrate a Triumph.

Now, I am miles away from Rome and that FM is the only army holding back a horde of Aedui stacks, so is this message only included for role-playing purposes or are there positive/negative character traits to be gained by heading home for the Triumph?

Stunning mod btw, totally addicted to it. My wife hates you all.

It gives you positive traits, but you don't have to bring the whole army with you, only the FM

, which can be very nice :) Rome will wait to give him his triumphus too, he doesn't have to return to Rome Immediately, best to do so when he can be replaced by another general.

You must be blitzing to hell if its a long walk from Roma. I'm 70 Years into my Romani campaign and I only have a couple provinces outside Italia.

make sure that he isn't to tired of all the walking. You should rest him from time to time, otherwise he will develop negative traits

Not really, he's only just outside Massilia. However, I personally would consider walking from Marseilles to Rome a long walk.

Ships? Bah, outlandish contraptions used by effeminate Hellenes and Carthaginians. You'll be wanting me to eat tofu next. No, real men walk. In manky worn sandals.

And anyway, the navy's been in Davy Jones' locker this 10 years past. Curse them pirates

What is "Tofu"? Some strange object involving the digits of our feet?

Cool store, bro! I want some ham.
    No ham, pepsi.
They make deli slices of frozen pepsi now? Awesome!
You also need to purchase a small freezer for storage of your pepsi.
It runs on batteries. You'll need a few.
Uhh, I guess I won't have pepsi then. Do you have change for a twenty?

Umm, that was sarcasm on AVSM's part. He is Asian himself.

And the tofu quip was a joke along the lines of "real men don't eat quiche".

Hey it 250bc, surely "I'll get my cloak" :;?......(and there they were, 5000 slavering Naked Gauls against just a handful of us loyal Romans, about to die....and then Julius turned up and they all ran away.......which was nice)

Once they are all subdued, then maybe you could get them to FINALLY fix the drainage in the lower field ;)

well, you know you oculd always train a general really quick and send him up to the army while you move your general from city to city. you may also consider hiring him a single unit of horse mercenaries so he dont get too lonely. dont want him turning out with an affair with his bodyguards......

well considering that he was near massilia you could say that its a habit he picked up by the Greeks

damn you Greeks: first you invent homosexuality and the next they break all the plates

for those who don't get the joke:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
at Greek weddings the throw plates on the ground: its considered good luck
and in the dialect of antwerpen they have a saying : een telloor in uw broek stoppen=> meaning to put a plate in your pants: its for jokes as a pre-caution not to be raped by a gay

actually that story would make for an excellent new film in the cross genres:

after the gay cowboy movie now the gay sword-and-sandal movie

if some gay or Greek thinks I went too far after this you are hereby authorized to make fun of me
I' ll even give you a most shaming fact : I haven't got a girlfriend in over a year

PS: can someone please say what the code is for spoiler tags?
